NOMINATIONS CLOSED for 2008 Hall of Fame

Posted by: Kit Donahue on 2008-02-06 10:17:50

Nominees will be reviewed and voted on in June and inductees will be announced later this summer. We will honor our 2008 inductees Homecoming weekend, Oct. 10-12 (day and time of the event TBA depending on football schedule).

HOW TO NOMINATE SOMEONE FOR THE 2008 HALL OF FAME

  • The key to the nomination process is the information you supply to the Hall of Fame voting committee. Please understand that members of the committee may be unfamiliar with the alum you are nominating and will base their decision on the information you provide.

  • All nominations must be accompanied by a letter of nomination.

  • Letter(s) of nomination should include the following information:
    1. Positions the nominee held and/or contributions he or she made when working for Illini Media
    2. Personal or professional accomplishments since leaving Illini Media
    3. How this person has influence Illini Media and why you think he or she should be considered for the Hall of Fame

  • Please consider asking others to submit additional letters of recommendation in support of your candidate.

  • Illini Media Hall of Fame Nomination Criteria
The Illini Media Hall of Fame honors alumni from any of the Illini Media units for their contributions to the company, their outstanding professional accomplishments, and/or their distinguished careers. Nominees are eligible beginning 10 years after their last day of employment at Illini Media if they were a student, or five years after their last day of employment if they were a member of the professional staff.

Friends of Illini Media who have shown special support or made significant contributions, either during an exceptional situation or over the course of many years, may also be nominated.
