UI and DI alumnus Robert Novak dies

We've had several alums contact us to tell us about Robert Novak's death earlier today. Mr. Novak was inducted into the Illini Media Hall of Fame in the fall of 2007 and came back to Champaign for the celebration.

Saturday, October 3

Illini Media Open House :: 11am-1pm
If you haven't had a chance to see Illini Media's new building, please stop by for an informal open house and tour before the tailgate party. We are located in the heart of campus at 512 East Green Street, Champaign.

Tailgate Tent Party :: noon-2:30pm
Alumni and staff are invited to join us at our tailgate tent party prior to the game (game time is still TBA but the tailgate will be two hours prior to the game.) Our tent will be directly east of Assembly Hall across the street from Memorial Stadium.

Illinois vs. Penn State Football Game :: 2:30 pm
Our block of tickets for the football game is sold out but if you would like to put your name on a waiting list, please contact Kit Donahue at kit@illinimedia.com.

Sunday, October 4

Illini Media 2009 Alumni Hall of Fame Brunch
Illini Union Ballroom :: 11:00am-2:00pm
 We will wrap up our weekend with the induction of this year's Hall of Fame class. Please join us to honor this prestigious group of Illini Media alums and to reacquaint yourself with friends and former co-workers. Tickets are $40 per person. Please RSVP by Wednesday, Sept. 23.
