Morris R. Beschloss was a recipient of the Mensch Award from the International Mensch Foundation, on March 29, 2012, the University of California Riverside, in Palm Desert. Morris was inducted into the Illini Media Hall of Fame in 2007. He worked at the Daily Illini from 1948-52 and was sports editor, 1951-52.Read More >>

Former DI ad rep Liesl Banks-Stiegman was recently selected by Parenting Magazine to represent the state of Illinois at the 3rd annual MOM Congress held in Washington DC at Georgetown University. She was selected based on her volunteer work in her children's schools. Way to go Liesl!Read More >>
